CAB Active Only® furnaces for continuous production

In mid-run and small-run production, such as a spare parts producer, the use of continuous operation furnaces requires a suitable amount of brazing heat exchangers to be provided. The Active Only® furnace is the optimal solution for that kind of production. The furnace operates in a semi-continuous mode, i.e. elements are put on the loading tray and then moved in indexing mode to the individual chambers of the furnace. In the first chamber, the load is purged of air to allow for proper brazing. After purging, the tray moves automatically into the heating chamber where the load is conventionally heated and brazed in a gas mixture atmosphere.

The process is completed in the nitric atmosphere of the cooling chamber. The capability of loading different heat exchanger types and sizes on subsequent trays is the biggest advantage of this furnace. The Active Only® furnace range includes a broad variety of input sizes to suit the customer’s needs.
