History of SECO/WARWICK
SECO/WARWICK S.A. was established in 1991 as a joint venture between the Polish owners of Trans-Vac and the American-based SECO/WARWICK Corporation.
From the start, the philosophy behind our operations has been based on developing products and technologies to meet and exceed our customers’ needs and expectations. By offering solutions for specific needs, we have built a firm that is today one of the world’s leading suppliers of heat treatment equipment for metals.
At SECO/WARWICK S.A. we draw on our Polish experience with vacuum furnaces as well as more than 100 years of American know-how in aluminum treatment furnaces.
Today SECO/WARWICK S.A. is a world leader in designing furnaces and technological processes for heat treatment of metals, supplying its equipment to key global companies in the aviation, automotive and equipment industries, as well as plants that provide outsourced treatment services.
Some highlights in the history of SECO/WARWICK S.A. include:
- 1991 – The joint venture company SECO/WARWICK Sp. z o.o., owned 50% by SECO/WARWICK Corp. and 50% by the Polish side, begins operations in Poland.
- 1999 – SECO/WARWICK Sp. z o.o. earns an ISO 9001 Certificate.
- 2002 – SECO/WARWICK Sp. z o.o. purchases the intellectual property and business name of Camlaw Ltd., which combined with our own solutions enabled SECO/WARWICK S.A. to become a leading global producer of complete systems for brazing of heat exchangers, using the CAB - Nocolok® (aluminum brazing) and CuproBraze® (copper brazing) technologies.
- 2003 – SECO/WARWICK Sp. z o.o. acquires 100% of the shares of Elterma S.A., which had been the largest producer of furnaces and related equipment in the former Eastern bloc. SECO/WARWICK S.A. provided Elterma know-how and references, including production of furnaces for working with or without a controlled atmosphere, together with servicing of all of its current customers in this respect, which from the nearly 1,000 furnaces for various applications by Elterma since the 1950s has led the plant to the position it maintains today.
- 2005 – SECO/WARWICK Sp. z o.o. acquires 100% of the shares of SECO/WARWICK Corp., its American partner, thus becoming the leading company in the SECO/WARWICK family.
- 2006 – SECO/WARWICK Sp. z o.o. creates a joint venture company with the Chinese firm Tianjin Kama Electric Thermal Equipment Manufacturing Co. Ltd., under the name of SECO/WARWICK (Tianjin) Industrial Furnace Co. Ltd.
- 2007 – The limited-liability company SECO/WARWICK Sp. z o.o. is converted into the joint-stock company SECO/WARWICK S.A. On 5 December, it becomes a listed company on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
- 2008 – Joint venture established with the Indian firm Allied Consulting Engineers Pvt. Ltd.
Thanks to its technical resources, cooperation with customers all over the world, and its R&D program, SECO/WARWICK S.A. successful meets the challenges posed by the competition and plays a key role in growth of the industry.
- Our teams have implemented a number of design innovations and innovations involving heat treatment processes. SECO/WARWICK S.A. is developing the FineCarb® vacuum carburizing technology in conjunction with the Łódź University of Technology.
- We cooperate with the Bauman Institute (Moscow, Russia – Prof. Ryzhov’s team), creating a state-of-the art research laboratory together.
- Based on a patent by Prof. Kramer (Aachen, Germany), we have proposed an innovative, economical solution for furnaces for treating aluminum rolls.
SECO/WARWICK S.A. has its own treatment research facility together with a metallography laboratory. We conduct detail tests, always adapting our technology to the customer’s needs. We invite inquiries.
